After coming back a few weeks later and rereading my previous post above, I wish I hadn't sounded so sure of myself. When I read it again, it seems to have a sureness and certainty which I do not have and did not intend. I was trying to say that I THINK some of what gets labeled "Unexplained Infertility" are actually conditions that doctors are not able to properly diagnose and so U.I. ends up sounding as if it is an actual condition, when it's really no more than saying "I don't know." In other words, the problem is "unexplained." To me this is not an answer and should not be accepted by any patient. You should find another doctor who is more diligent or more committed to helping you. I think there are many fertility centers out there that only want to sell and practice the treatments they specialize in, and anyone else who comes in or wants some other treatment gets politely discouraged and shown to the door. And Unexplained Infertility is one way to do that. (I'll probably regret this post too, later on, but I think it's probably closer to the truth than not.
