Do you mean in terms of donation? Or basic? In egg donation, you receive eggs from another woman after she has gone through a stim cycle - this is usually more expensive than a basic IVF. The eggs are then fertilized with your husband's sperm to create embryos, which are then transferred to your uterus and hopefully implant. Embryo donation usually happens when a couple has done a successful IVF and have frozen embryos that they don't intend to transfer. The cost is much less since you are only paying for the transfer and not the stim. The big difference is that with egg donation, the child will be genetically related to your husband, while a child from embryo donation isn't genetically related to either of you.
