Default Frozen Embryo Transfer Details Required

Has anybody details about Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET). How long can the embryo be preserved and how long has one been able to achieve success with the same. FET was introduced only around 1980. So can anybody here help with the data/casestudy around the same?

Thanks!

I don't have personal experience with tissue freezing but I know they are doing some wonderful things with it. I only wish I'd known about it in 2002 when I had my treatment (breast cancer). Thank God I remain cancer-free, but I am not able to conceive on my own. I am thinking about maybe going with a donor, but knowing that there may have been other options and i did not know bothers me a great deal.

Yes. It is called fertilehope. If you search on it, put it in as one word.

I have been surprised how much info there is now on the web about fertility options for cancer patients. I guess these sites gradually come on line and until you go and look for them, you don't know they are there.
I live the Fertilte Hope site and there are several others related to "fertility preservation" which are part of other infertility center sites.
There is a lot of information out there now! Albeit some of the procedures are experimental, the bottom line is there is a lot that can be done if you investigate fertility preservation BEFORE cancer treatments.

Just got some bad news. Looks like the chemo has left me with zero healthy eggs. I have some frozen ones, but the procedure being recommended involves a surrogate. Pretty expensive and risky, and I'm not sure how I feel about it.
Cancer just sucks. I am grateful for every day now, but even if you survive you never really get over it. Sorry if I sound bitter. I'm told I will feel better after a bit more time goes by.
