For me it was the first time I've ever been told I have a medical condition. Other than the flu, I've never been sick, taken medication or had any kind of treatment. So to hear that I had this quiet condition in my ovary was immediately unsettling because I had no context, but then came the true awakening of the implications.

For me I think I knew, or at least feared there was a problem for quite some long time before my fears were confirmed. When the doctor finally said he thought there might be an issue I felt pretty much nothing. But then later there was a gradual after shock that settled into "why me" thing. which finally gave way to I'm not going to accept it and where I am now which is doing whatever I can to have a child.
