36...I got 14 eggs retrieved today. Didn't make it this far last time, because I ovulated through Lupron.
So is 14 a lot? I need advice. I also always thought it's not quantity, it's quality that counts.. Tomorrow we find out how many are grade A, B, C, and how many fertilized well. Any thoughts? Been trying to conceive for two years. DH had varicocele, got surgery. I had fibroids, got surgery. Then he got mumps orchitis, which killed sperm count & quality. First IVF cycle cancelled. 2nd cycle: ET on Dec. 31st, now on two week wait |

I just wanted to follow up on my post above. Been awhile since i left it. I lost the pregnancy mentioned above at 8 weeks. I felt pretty bad for a while but now I am doing much better. I have learning to be resigned to accept whatever happens, as there is nothing I can do about it.
Now we are thinking about adopting. That was not something I would have been ableto think about ten years ago. However I am at least thinking about it now, It is something interesting to think about. I think what really made me let myself start to think about it was when the doctor said that babies who don't have parents are looking for the same thing as families without babies, only their situation literally involves life and death. I like the feeling of knowing I could make a difference. |
