We took a bit of break since the fall, but we're ready to try again. I've been reading about g.i.f.t. and think I'll be asking about that. My tubes are supposedly very good, and i understand that with this process they mix the egg and sperm and inject it directly into the falopian tube, provided there is one. I am surprised I haven't heard more about it, but maybe I have and it's just called by different names.
Fingers crossed and knock on wood! Andria |

I am not the person to give technical advice, but I don't think it's really taht complicated. I believe it involves placing an already fertilzied embrio. The only difference between the two is where the embrio gets placed.
However the procedures may be pretty different than ivf, though I really don't know that for sure. Pat E. Pie |

An update. I've learned an awful lot over the recent time. Now when I read some of these infertility stories the abbreviations are not so strange and I've actually been through some of the procedures I see being mentioned.
I came to all this a littel late, I think. I just turned 39 and to make a long story short, I have started taking DHEA. We're still considering some of the other more elaborate (and expensive) treatments, but thought we'd try DHEA first. Guess it's still pretty new, but it seems safe (is otc which must mean its safe, right?) and there seems to be good news about it. So once again, fingers crossed, still knocking on wood, still holding out for my dream. |
