Default Frozen Embryo Transfer Details Required

Has anybody details about Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET). How long can the embryo be preserved and how long has one been able to achieve success with the same. FET was introduced only around 1980. So can anybody here help with the data/casestudy around the same?

Thanks!

I don't have personal experience with tissue freezing but I know they are doing some wonderful things with it. I only wish I'd known about it in 2002 when I had my treatment (breast cancer). Thank God I remain cancer-free, but I am not able to conceive on my own. I am thinking about maybe going with a donor, but knowing that there may have been other options and i did not know bothers me a great deal.
