i'm 38 years old, married for 12 years & no children. the doctor says my husband has azoospermia, testicular biopsy sertoli cell only. hormones FSH ,LH normal , 13 biopsies were taken and no sperm could be retrived....anyone been through this before? any thoughts about our options?

If you already know this you are in a good position. because it means you have a partner who was caring enough to get involved and man enough to accept the results. i understand there is plenty they can do for a man. all they need is one or two sperm and they can even go in and get them.

yes that's entirely true. I learned about all this under some dire circumstances when my dh got cancer. They said they only needed to save a few sperm to keep our options open. They also said this is true for men who have trouble conceiving naturally. they can retrieve the sperm, even if there is only one or two, and produce an embryo that is made up from both parents. Hope this helps.
