update. we're still on for June. Now another twist has appeared. Now J. is considering asking his brother to become our donor. At first hearing, that doesn't sound so odd. But the more I think about it, I'm not so sure. I keep thinking about family gatherings, and wonder if J. and his brother will be able to get along. They get great now. Am I just crazy?

No, RR, I think your being sensible. It seems logcal to use a blood relative because of teh genes and all, but when the child starts to grow up it can be very confusing to the father and brother and also the child. That's why I think many times donors of both sexes remain anonymous.
Now's the time to ask these questins! |

So, donor sperm with your husband is why the issues of using his brothers sperm? a tough decision to make but I agree when family gatherings happen it will be hard for both brothers (I'm sure). Oh, good luck and I will be following your story.............
