July Cycle Buddy?

I had a baby in ’98 and it happened so easily and fast that I assumed it could happen any time I let it. So we took a few years off, mostly enjoying our son and then we started trying again about five years ago. And that’s how long it’s been with NO results. Pretty discouraging. at that point we didn’t have the quite the will (or money) to consider help, and frankly I still wasn’t believing that I needed it. But now after five years, well… So after much study and reading and planning, we’re going to try IVF. I really want another baby. To our son Jamie, it would be a little brother or sister, but to us it would be nothing short of a miracle. Any cycle buddies out there?

Hello. I am just starting the ivf process myself. My first consultation is tomorrow. The support from someone who is also going through this would be great. I do not have any children, yet. This will however be my second pregnancy. Let's do this.

I'm new to this board and starting to think about ivf myself. But sounds like you're a bit ahead of me though. First of all I wish you all the best. I'd love to know what sort of procedures are involved in a "cycle." Does it involve a special diet? Medications? Other things? I won't be ready in time to be your buddy, but please keep posting and I will at least be able to keep you company!

Just heard that I will be waiting a bit longer before starting my ivf cycle. Probably around November. I was so syched up, I must admit I'm disappointed now. I am determined to follow this until they tell me there is absolutely no chance. Frank doesn't come across as quite as deterimined, but I believe he is deep down. It's almost as if he's preparing himself for the worst so he's not disappointed.
