I went into my clinic today to have an u/s. I've been on BCP's for 2 weeks and I start Lupron and Follistim soon. ER is scheduled. Well, I have a follie on my right ovary that is 20x21. My doctor said they see this a lot when you first start BCP's. I go back in soon to see if it is smaller or gone. If not they will cancel my cycle this month... This is my first IVF cycle.
Has anyone ever heard of this?? ![]() |

Wish I could help, but I'm new to this too. Finally decided to make the move. I have an appointment for ultrasound this week and will hear what the doctor recommends. I am trying to understand all this new jargon.

I am originally from the southwest, but we've moved around some because of my dh's job. When we visited the md we were a little surprised at the cost, but I guess we shouldn't be these days at the cost of anything. We will probably be aiming to start a cycle around spring or so which is when we can get some money things organized. Are you still planning on March? I am so excited for you and will be watching here to hear how you make out. Stay in touch!

I had a child naturally 15 years ago and then nothing more happened, but I was not worried because I knew that thigns were definitely okay. Now I am remarried and would love to give my new husband a child. It is his first marriage. I am still ovulating. Does ivf matter if you are still ovulating?

To Meg,
If you are still ovulating they can do ivf. They will give you meds to stimulate the ovulation and retrieve a few eggs. Then they will ensure one or two are fertilized with your new husbands sperm in the lab (in vitro). then they will reimplant in you. It is fairly successful. Hope this helps. ![]() |

hi - i'm new to this as well. i'm just starting the process today. i'm not sure how long everything will take, and it's kind of nerve wrecking and i'm not even mid-cycle yet. i just started the patches today, and i guess in a week it's the next step. it's nice to know that there are a few others here to talk through things.
