Finding a donor

we will be trying again in June and at this point they seem convinced that it's the sperm that's the issue. We may consider some alternatives such as freezing though we want to try again with my husbands sperm trying some of the methods they are recommeneding. and if that doesn't work again we'll be going the donor route. no one has mentioned how we do that. Anyone know how sperm donors are chosen?

I am sorry that I am just finding this post. I imagine you've long got an answer to your question, or figured out something by now. I find this question very interesting because in my experience, there is not nearly the attention paid to the sperm donor as there is to egg donors. Wonder why? You'd think both halves would deserve scrutiny.

A follow-up. I had an appointment at my center and decided to ask how male donors are handled. This particular center has no program for sperm donors, but do have an extensive database of available female egg donors. I just assumed they would also have the same for males, but they do not. I continue to find this curious and assume there must be the same databases for males.
