What can I do?

I had tubal surgery in 2002. I had a few issues that made it seem a good move, plus at the time I was in what seemed a good good marriage and a lovely daughter. Since then, I am now remarried and my new husband wants us to try to have a child or two of our own.

So I am now seriously considering the tubal reversal process. I understand it will need to be combined with invito fertilization.

The doctor is a taking a clincial approach to it all. But i am wondering what it will be like for me the patient!

Appreciate any input anyone can offer.

My brothers wife had tubel reversed a few years back and they eventually had a baby girl. I also had ivf with a successful outcome. Some don't think ivf isn't "natural", but I think it is. Just my thoughts.

I have quesetions too. Is tubal reversal essentially the same procedure as the tying? Can I expect the same issues?
And how soon after can I start the IVF?

I am having my tubal ligation reversed. I'm newly married (again) and my new partner has no children and wants to have one. I was thinking about having ivf instead, and my decision to do it the old fashioned way has nothing to do with any concerns about ifv (as mentioned further above). I just want to do it the way I've done it before. I want it to be just the same, which is very good.

The question I have is after a tubal ligation is reversed, can you have another tubal ligation? In other words, once you undo it, do you deal with the possibility of getting pregnant until the great meltdown occurs?

I have questions about the reversal too. I am under the impression that I could do ivf no matter if my tubes are closed or not.

We went to a clinic and were told that while I could have the tubal reversal if I chose to, I could also pursue IVF. There'd be only one procedure and I'd be left with reversal in place. We're not decided yet, but the second course seems simpler.

The more I think about it, I am thinking about going with the ivf. Frankly the reversal and all that and taking time to go the natural route could take another year or more and I don't think I have that kind of time.

I agree with the ivf rather than the reversal. (Not that I have been fantastically successful at these procedures!.
for me it would simply be the simplest and surest way.

I'm considering getting my tubes tied. It's interesting reading the comments here... should I reconsider? Not that I think I might want more children, but what am I gaining by going through the procedure.
