Can I take the same stuff available in the drug store? What about dosage? How long before results generally show up?

I believe the dhea prescribed in clinics is the same as is sold in stores. However what is different are the dosages and routines. At least that's my understanding.

Now I am hearing that dhea is having other positive affects on women who take it, like helping memory and such. Well, forgive me if I sound skeptical, but I have a natural tendency to start doubting when something looks too good to be true.
If this treatment involves over the counter meds, and there is really no other treatment, what is the ballpark of the cost of the treatment? I mean how much can it be???

If one takes dhea for several months or so until egg production improves, does one have to continue to take it? If you stop, does the egg production cease?

I imagine if you knew the dosasge and the time period, you could manage it yourself. I mean all you'd have to do is buy it, right?
